Paul Smith
Paul Smith, a British designer, transitioned from aspiring sportsman to fashion icon after a career-ending injury. Starting in a Nottingham clothing warehouse, he opened his first boutique in 1970 with his wife, Pauline Denyer. In 1976, he launched his menswear collection in Paris, achieving international success. The brand expanded globally, including in Japan, and debuted a women’s line in 1998. Diversifying into rugs, eyewear, china, and fragrances, Paul Smith released his first perfumes in 2000. That same year, he was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II for his contributions to menswear and continues to collaborate with Inter Parfums Inc. on fragrances.
