Atkinsons is a traditional English brand that first opened shop in London. Initially, the brand’s founder James Atkinson was into soap and perfume business in 1799. In 1800 he launched an Eau de Cologne that was spicy, warm and has a stronger trail than the Italian-styled colognes. He became popular instantly when he became the personal perfumer of the royal family in 1826. During that time his perfumes were used by Duke of Wellington, Beau Brummell, Admiral Nelson, Sarah Bernhardt and Lady Hamilton. Most of Atkinsons fragrances are designed inside the original falcon.
